As the COVID-19 situation is quickly evolving, we recognize that we can all play a part in ensuring that our community's health and safety comes first.

In accordance with the recommendations outlined by Manitoba Health, we will be taking the following precautions: effective immediately, Blue Sky is restricting general public access to all of its locations.

The only persons allowed on the premises are supported individuals, staff, and immediate family members.

The locations include:

  • Head office: 122-10th Ave NW
  • Recycle Shop: 349 2nd Street NW
  • All 9 residential homes

These decisions have been made in the best interests of all supported individuals and staff, your support and understanding of our request is much appreciated.

Events and Information

Blue Sky Opportunities Inc. relies on a number of fundraising sources to provide the capital needed to grow our programs and facilities.

Fall Fundraiser

Each fall, a fundraiser is held the first Thursday of November. This is our largest annual fundraising event.

This years Fall Fundraiser will be held on Thursday November 7th at 6:00 pm at the Rhineland Pioneer Centre, with entertainment by Del Barber. Tickets available at Blue Sky Opportunities (122-10th Ave NW) and BSI Insurance in the Altona Mall.


A clean-a-thon is held each May. West Park School and Blue Sky Opportunities team up to clean up the town of Altona. Students receive pledges and receive prizes for pledges raised.


Donations are graciously accepted throughout the year. Donations can be made in person or by mail and receive a tax-deductible receipt.

Blue Sky Opportunities has also had the privilege of receiving funds through Estate Planning. Estate donations are a way of leaving a lasting legacy.
